Boddington Consulting is an independent business, based in Beijing founded and owned by the Managing Director, Michael Boddington.
Michael Boddington has worked in Agribusiness for twenty years holding senior positions with PIC Australia, PIC Asia and Alltech Biotechnology in Greater China companies specialised in providing customised solutions through the practical application of science. Michael has lived in China since 1998 and has worked in Australia, Philippines, Bangladesh and Greater China.

Oliver Ryan, Senior consultant
Oliver is an Agricultural Scientist with more than 30 years experience in a variety of senior technical and management roles, principally in Asia and the Pacific and followed by 10 years employment with the International Finance Corporation – the private sector arm of the World Bank. Whilst at the IFC Oliver was responsible for the development technical and commercial due diligence and supervision of livestock, aquaculture and fisheries projects.
Jon Ratcliff, Senior consultant
Jon has fifteen years of commercial nutrition and feed management experience at the national UK feed company, J Bibby Agriculture. In 1996, Jon founded Food & Agriculture Consultancy Services (F.A.C.S Ltd), offering core nutritional, formulation and purchasing functions and specializing in the implementation of HACCP based food safety programs from farm through to slaughter and further processing.
Bruce Carrad,Senior consultant
Bruce has over 30 years experience in economic and social development roles, mostly in the Asia/ Pacific region. This includes extensive country-level experience throughout Asia in senior and leadership positions with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the private sector, and official development assistance agencies. Most recently he overviewed and implemented ADB’s agriculture, natural resources and environment program in the PRC.
Chris Brown, Senior consultant
Chris graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master's degree in land economics. He worked in the UK, Europe and Australia for several private companies, including IPEX, and also project financing in China. From 1996 to 2001, he acted as the project leader for the European Union to help China's agricultural sector institutions reform. From 2002 to 2005, Chris presided over the EU in Thailand - Asia's ICT programs; that promote the European Union within 18 Asian countries.
Guiyun Wang, Consultant
Guiyun is a consultant and senior researcher at Boddington Consulting. She has engaged in agriculture and livestock market research for nearly three years. With rich experience and expertise, she is in charge of a variety of areas of market research and industry analysis covering the swine, poultry, dairy, aquaculture and feed and feed additive industries. guiyun@boddingtonconsulting.com
Helen Hou, Consultant
Helen graduated from the China Agricultural University with a Master’s degree in veterinary science.
